“My exhibition piece is based on my own path to decolonize my mindset and embrace the fact that I am Māori, the colours are inspired by the Tino Rangatiratanga flag and the fluidity of the piece shows the colours flowing over not only the art work but myself too as I fully let go of the colonised mind and step into my Māoridom and reclaim who I and who my ancestors are.”
